Context
E-world Energy & Water in Essen is the leading European trade fair for the energy sector. The panel opened the third conference day and deliberately moved the security question out of the usual cyber-hygiene frame: data security as a component of system stability in a critical infrastructure, not as a stand-alone IT discipline. The discussion covered the threat picture, regulatory expectations and the operational reality inside a transmission grid.
